As with much of this year, holiday celebrations will likely look a little different than normal. As we continue to practice social
distancing and with regulations of group sizes, we can expect to celebrate in smaller numbers this year, so we’ve put together
a few ways to stay connected with family and friends this holiday season:
Stock Up and
Stay Prepared
PLAN AHEAD
Understand the environment that you are heading into – This is a great way to anticipate and plan for any communication issues. If you are heading to a noisy restaurant, try to limit the number of people attending so you can sit close enough to others to hear them. You can also try calling the place ahead of time and request the quietest area of the restaurant for your group.
COMMUNICATE YOUR NEEDS
Communicate your hearing needs ahead of time with loved ones – if you are going to a restaurant or family gathering, let your loved ones know you’ll need them to face you when they’re speaking and that you might have to ask them to repeat themselves. This is especially true when people are wearing masks, as that can have a profound impact on your hearing. Taking the time to let them know you are hard of
hearing will help ensure you get to enjoy the time with your family.
THE MAGIC OF ROGER
Experience greater environmental awareness that fosters feelings of security and
confidence with motion sensors that adjust your hearing aids on the go. Go from the
car to a walk in the park with seamless transitions with no manual adjusting needed!
STOCK UP AND BE PREPARED
Lastly, make sure you have batteries for your hearing aids, so you don’t miss a sound
over the holidays! We are selling them in clinic and offer curbside pick-up for a safe
and socially distant option.
