Message FROM THE PUBLISHER

Some of you may have heard through social media about my next exciting endeavour. After many years of putting it on the back burner, I finally decided to get started on my Real Estate courses, last year. It’s something that I had been wanting to do since I was out of highschool, which is over 30 years ago…I know, I just dated myself.

At the time, I was told I would be great at it, but that no one would trust their Real Estate needs to a 19 year old. So I waited and then became a wife and a mother. I suddenly became very protective of my family time, especially my evenings and weekends. So I waited.

In 2012, I started Family Matters Magazine as a way to reinvent myself and to become more involved in the community. It is all of my passions combined…family, marketing, community and small business. Family Matters Magazine is my baby, but I never stopped thinking about Real Estate. Last year, I  finally decided there were no more excuses!

I am proud to announce that I have  finished the OREA courses and am officially a Registered Real Estate Professional who has joined RE/MAX Real Estate Centre Inc., Brokerage in Milton. I am so beyond thrilled to be receiving the support and training that will enable me to be the best REALTOR I can possibly be for my future clients!

I wanted to make clear that the magazine you have come to know and love, is not going anywhere! I will continue to release quarterly issues, filled with the content and features that are brought to you by our local experts. Nothing will change. Over the years, my team has remained constant and I would never be able to do both without them, but with them, it is totally possible!

I’ve got a  re in my belly that I have not in a long time! I am excited and ready to work hard!

Thank you for all of your support and trust thus far and I do hope that if and when the time comes, you will consider reaching out for your family’s Real Estate needs.

Being at a later stage of parenthood, she is learning to take more time to explore her own interests and is enjoying more time with her husband as their children become more independent. Professionally, Susana has partnered up in various community projects including The Mom Show. She enjoys encouraging mothers to recognize their potential, as women, outside of motherhood. Ninjamom is personal project that is in it's early stages. It is a movement to empower mothers to practice self-love and self-care without the guilt. She works diligently to promote clients in their community both organically and through the online and print publication of Family Matters Magazine.
