Green Goals has shifted gears as Ashley, the founder, has returned to work after being off for a year of maternity leave. She continues her role as an elementary educator, with the goal of connecting sustainable messages within the teaching concepts found in the Ontario Curriculum documents.  She has already begun to implement low waste messages in units and lessons that meet the Math and Language Arts expectations, and has jumped in to assist the school’s Green Team projects.  This includes collecting and making milk bag mats for charitable groups and helping collect old markers that can be sent to Crayola for recycling.

Green Goals has added more local green businesses to our community and regularly shares information on upcoming sustainably focused events that matter to you.  For more sustainable lesson plan ideas and extra curricular activities for your Eco Club, be sure to visit the educators portal of the website. While working with individuals and business owners, Ashley Raza explores creative ways to offer realistic resources for people and households who want to live more sustainably. This elementary school teacher is seeking ways to lower the unnecessary waste in our lives by selling seals to store fronts to help fund low waste charitable donation projects, planning her next low waste lesson in school, or making posts on social media to keep the conversation going in a non judgmental approach.
